While working as a Planner III at the City of Fort Lauderdale, I developed numerous street cross-section visualizations that helped inform elements of the City's Downtown Master Plan update. These conceptual cross-sections below reflected streetscape designs and modal priorities identified in preceding plans, which helped staff refine priorities and communicate them to stakeholders.
The cross-sections also helped visualize how the development setbacks required in the Downtown Master Plan, which were typically reserved for public improvements such as sidewalks, could supplement and support the City's proposed street designs.
