The Baltimore City Greenway is planned to be an approximately 35-mile long urban biking and walking trail circumnavigating Baltimore. The City of Baltimore has partnered with the Baltimore Greenway Trails Coalition and the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy (RTC) to lay the conceptual groundwork for the Greenway. Parts of the trail exist today, while some segments still need to be fully planned, designed, and constructed.
I created the maps below using ArcGIS Pro as a Senior Planner with RK&K. These maps were part of the 35% design effort for the Northern Segments of the Baltimore City Greenway, which aims to make progress on the Greenway by connecting the Gwynns Falls Trail with the Herring Run Trail. In addition to creating informational maps like these, I created an ArcGIS StoryMap and incorporated surveys to aid collecting actionable feedback from the public.
This is a conceptual overview map of the entire Baltimore City Greenway network that I create to provide context for the Northern Segments project.
This is a conceptual overview of the proposed Northern Segments of the Baltimore City Greenway. This map and the maps below were featured on the project website to aid the public's understanding of the project.
This map and each of the following provide more detail for the proposed concept-level alignments of each section of the Northern Segments.
